Nadya Elegance

Nadya was one of the models who came to our Second Street Photography Studios Open House last night. She was the first model to show up because she was one of three models who wanted to be body painted for our Christmas theme photo shoot.

I decided to take a few photos before she got painted.

Thank you, Nadya, for coming to the open house.

Second Street Photography Studios Open House...

behind the scene shots...

Last night, 12-10-10, we had our Open House at our studio with some of the models we have worked with before. We set up several stations in the studio so the shooting could be done quickly without have to adjust the lighting too much.

We had three models who wanted to be body painted. We had a Christmas theme.

Prior to the real shooting I took a few behind the scenes shots. The ladies who were being body painted they came to the studio early. Michael, Opti-Mystic, did the painting for the ladies. We also had two MUA's to do the hair and make-up for them.

Nadya was the first model to be painted, so once she was done I brought her over to the high key station to begin the shooting.

Here are a few behind the scene shots! I actually didn't take many.

Everyone seemed to have a good time! Thank you to everyone!!!

Reverend Raven and The Chain Smokin' Altar Boys...

put on another excellent performance last Saturday, 12-04-10, at Wilebski's Blues Saloon in St. Paul, MN.

There was a sizable crowd and the dance full with people taking advantage of the excellent music!!

I always enjoy seeing the Rev and the guys play. Don't just think about seeing these guys, just go...you won't be disappointed.

There are other blog post about the Reverend and the new CD, Shake your Boogie, here on my blog. You'll find them if you look...

Rochester Women Magazine with Sena

The last time the Sena Ehrhardt Band came to Wilebski's Blues Saloon Sena brought me a signed copy of Rochester Women magazine where my photos of her were used on the cover and on the inside with the article.

I had the magazine framed and last night I hung it up in the studio.

I hung it up next to Reverend Raven's "Shake Your Boogie". My photos were used on the front and back of the CD. Jen Taylor of Vividpix.com did the excellent artwork.

Felonious Bosch CD Release Party...

Felonious Bosch Facebook

On Friday, 12-03-10, I had plans to meet Kim in St. Paul to see Felonious Bosch. Kim told me on to them a few months ago. She knew I’ve listened and photographed Steve Clarke before so she figured I would like this bands music. They have been playing at the 42nd Avenue Station in Minneapolis a couple times a month.

We planned to meet at 7:30 pm. I was hoping to get there sometime between 7 to 7:30 pm. It had been snowing and there were several inches on the ground already when I left my home. I got a call from Kim about the time I got onto Hwy 252 from Hwy 610. She was checking to see if I was still going. She said her friend Tom wasn’t sure if he was going to or not. She really didn’t want to drive. I told her I would pick her up if she wanted. She called Tom, then me again. She gave me directions to her home.

Well, we didn’t arrive at Wild Tymes until about 08:15 pm. I think other people were late, too, because the first band hadn’t started yet. Tom, Kim’s friend, arrived. About 10 to 15 minutes later, Bob Nordquist and the Intangibles began to play. Next up was Freeze Dried Fun.

Finally, the third band and the one I was there to see , Felonious Bosch, was up next. This was the first of two nights for their CD Release Party for their new CD, Toybox.

The stage was 14‘ x 14‘ and a little small for me to get some really good shots of the six band members because they were so close together. Oh, well...I gotta take what I get. My shots ranged for an ISO setting between 2000 and 3200 with most at 3200.

I really enjoyed listening to the band tonight. This was the first time I heard the band with Renee playing the full drum kit. This made the whole band sound even better. I would like to see the band play at another similar venue with Renee playing the full drum kit and for them to play longer...hint...hint!
