Great Horned Owl...10-14-26

On Wednesday, 10-14-26, while out in the woods this Great Horned Owl found me. I was sitting on a dead log photographing some deer while listening to some Blue Jay’s that were out to the front of me in the distance. Then I heard the calls of the Blue Jay’s getting closer when I saw this Great Horned Owl flying directly toward me. The owl landed in the closest tree next to me and this was the only shot I got before it realized it probably should should keep moving on. There are still many leaves on the trees and the owl only stayed for a couple seconds so I didn’t have time to position myself to get a better shot. The good news was the owl landed so I didn’t cut off any part of the owl and I didn’t need to crop the photo.
