Chuck Famous Dave's is a fun little venue for music, but you are right...not much of a dance floor as my wife and I found out when Zed Leppelin played there a couple of months ago. Oh well, at least I didn't have to embarrass myself!

Chuck, we met at Kelby's photowalk last year and again this year. I'm the one who told you about the benefits of NAPP. Anyway, sorry to hear about the problems you're having with Facebook. There are plenty of quirks that can be frustrating! I went to your photography fan page and clicked "Like" to add my name to your list of fans. It seems to work properly and all you should have to do is go to your page and post a message. I have found that the easiest way (for me) is to add the direct link to my fan page as a favorite/bookmark so that I can get to my page with one click. Your direct link is

Thanks for checking out my blog! Yes, I do remember your question on solotripping.com . It's not that I wasn't going to respond, but I was going to put it in my trip report.

Since I just started my trip report and I have a ways to go on it I'll quickly answer your question, hopefully, later tonight. I'm planning to being gone most of the day.

I noticed that you are from the Detroit area. I grew up in Flint and suburb area from the age of 5 to 17. The second day after high school graduation I got the hell out of there.

I'll probably post my answer on the OTB boots on my blog and then link it back to the thread on solotripping.com.

I'm planning on attending the Near North Symposium here in Minneapolis later today.

Yes, this is a solo trip. Should be a good time. This is a new area for me. Although, I've traveled / camped in a boreal forest in the past (Wabakimi).It looks like the weather (warmer temps) will be better than what it has been the last few weeks that is if the forecast is correct.
